An article in the latest edition of Cumbernauld Old’s church newsletter introduced the idea of arranging day-time bus outings to places of interest. Those with a concessionary bus pass could travel free, and the plan was that the places visited would also have free admittance. We can now confirm the details for the first of these trips on Wednesday 19 September to the Riverside Museum in Glasgow.
To join in, please meet at the South Bus Stop in Cumbernauld Town Centre (that’s the Asda & Tesco side of Central Way) at 10am on the 19th and we’ll head for Glasgow by bus. Please bring a packed lunch, your bus pass (if you have one!) plus possibly enough to pay for a cup of tea or coffee at the Riverside. Anyone lucky enough to be under 60 will need money for their bus fares too, but entrance to the Riverside is free. There are no restrictions on who can come – this isn’t limited to church members, or anything like that – and return times are flexible (since we’re using public transport). See you at the bus stop!
