Count Your Blessings

For the last few years Christian Aid has encouraged people to “Count Your Blessings” during Lent; to spend a little time each day in Lent to count the blessings in your life and reflect on God’s abundant provision with your congregation, your family or your group. This year’s resources – which can be downloaded from their website – explore the idea of who we truly are and how we can support Christian Aid partners who are working tirelessly to help people lead lives free from poverty.

As the introduction on their website puts it “Each day from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday, forty bite-sized reflections will inspire you to give thanks for the blessings in your life, and enable you to step out in prayer and action to help change the lives of the world’s poorest communities.”

For the first time, this year’s resources include a mobile phone app – described thus: “with daily reflections, stunning photography and other tools for your Lenten journey, our fantastic new app for iPads, iPhones and Android devices is available as a free download from the App Store or Google Play.”
