We are very grateful to have been awarded a grant by the National Heritage Lottery allowing us to proceed with the work of refurbishing the Organ. This grant will also cover an associated project being carried out in partnership with Baird Primary School. The final stage of the project is intended to be an Exhibition of the work and research done by the children from P5/6. Preliminary plans are in hand for a weekday evening service to formally rededicate the Sanctuary and the Organ and to be a celebration of Thanksgiving. There will be further details in a future posting.
The Social Committee’s latest event, a Beetle Drive and Fish Supper was a fun-filled evening and raised £720 towards the Sanctuary Refurbishment Project. Thanks to all involved in organising this and to everyone who attended.
The next fund-raising event is a Craft Fair and Coffee Morning on 26th April at 10 am. Tickets are £2 which includes tea/coffee and goodies. As always, there will be a good mix of Crafters so there should be lots of beautiful things to buy and the ladies of The Guild are holding a Home Baking Stall. Do come along – everyone is very welcome.
While thinking about the upcoming Commonwealth Games, Susan, our Family Development Worker, had a look at the ‘More than Gold’ website, which gave a link to ‘Christians in Sport’ who organise a DVD sports quiz package. This gives everything a congregation needs to organise a family sports fun quiz complete with posters and a DVD of questions/clips.
As part of our outreach, Abronhill Church will be holding a Family Fun Sports Quiz on Thursday 10 April at 7pm . This will be open to the whole community and anyone who wishes may enter a team. More information can be obtained from Susan or anyone from the Church. Hopefully there will be some goodies available also.

It’s a fact: Condorrat does have talent! Friday night’s concert was a great success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We were entertained by performers young and not so young and the grand sum of £854 was raised for the Sanctuary Refurbishment Project. Congratulations and a big THANK YOU to the organisers and performers and thanks to an enthusiastic audience for their support.
