Condorrat Parish Church

The various groups within the church are about to take a break for the summer although the Social Committee is seeking help and home-baking as the church is ‘manning’ the tearoom at Condorrat’s Gala Day on 28 June – 12 noon to 5pm.

The Boys’ Brigade has had a very successful session and numbers in the Anchor Section are increasing on a weekly basis.  Congratulations to Scott Corbett and Douglas Thom who were presented with their Queen’s Badge and to Matthew Russell and Reece Wilson who received their President’s Badge.

The Girls’ Brigade has also had a very successful session. Congratulations to all the girls who received Awards and Prizes and to those who received various Trophies: Kayla Senior, Hannah Grimshaw, Zoe Roy, Zoe Butler, Jade Keyes, Rachel Scott and Heather Ross.

The Sunday School’s outing is on 14 June followed by Prize-giving on Sunday 15 June. They resume on Sunday 14 September and all children between the ages of 3 and 11 are welcome.

The Guild’s summer outing on 7 June was a visit to ‘Lomond Shores’ with a short Loch Lomond cruise followed by high tea. The 2014-15 session begins on Wednesday 10 September at 7.30 pm. Everyone is most welcome.

Concert/Exhibition: A lovely concert in the church was given by children from P5/6 of Baird Memorial Primary School on 28 May.  Research into the Kirkland Organ by these pupils and their teachers resulted in an excellent and most informative exhibition, which was held for four days.  Congratulations and thanks to all involved in this and our thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund for their grant towards the refurbishment of the Organ.
