Representatives from the Church of Scotland are going ‘on the road’ this autumn to 15 venues spread across the length and breadth of Scotland (and also to London) to hear the views of local people on the future of the church. The whole process is designed to enable the national church to plan, prioritise and implement ideas from ordinary members to enable it to flourish into the 2020s and beyond.
They in turn will share the ideas put forward by the General Assembly and seek views and opinions on them. These events are an open invitation to everyone connected with the Church, so whether you are an office bearer, a regular attender or only drop in occasionally, they want to hear from YOU!
A full list of dates and venues, as well as further information about the initiative is on the Church of Scotland website, but those nearest to us in Cumbernauld are at Glasgow Renfield St Stephen’s Church on Saturday 10th September from 11am until 3pm, and again in St Andrew’s Church, Bo’ness on Wednesday 30th November from 6.30pm until 9.30pm.
Don’t leave it to someone else, come along and have your say.
