Cumbernauld Old holds its annual ‘Rainbow Service’ in the Parish Church on Sunday 18th December at 3pm.
This short service is for those who have been bereaved, either recently or some time ago, and find the ‘jolly’ side of Christmas painful or tinged with sadness. We invite you to come along for a service of worship, remembrance and reflection.
During the service you will have the opportunity to tie a coloured ribbon to the Rainbow Tree in memory of a loved one, as well as take one home as a keepsake. Please note this service is not suitable for young children.
The Rainbow Tree will remain in church until Easter Day, when all the ribbons will be carefully removed, ironed and made into something beautiful.
