Abronhill Church will be holding a monthly Tearoom organised by the Hospitality Group. This will take place on the first Monday of each month, beginning in October and is from 12 noon till 2pm. Soup, Sandwiches and Toasties will be available along with Tea, Coffee and Cakes. Come along and meet with friends and enjoy a tasty lunch.
Nan McCabe, Marjory Williamson and friends will be hosting an evening of music, memories and merriment in the Church Hall on Saturday 7 October at 7pm in aid of Dr. Graham’s Home. Tickets cost £3 and can be bought from Nan & John Manson. Nan & Marjory will also be doing a Sponsored Walk in Israel in January and donations towards this will be gratefully received at any time.
Condorrat Parish Church is holding a Craft Fair on Saturday 7th October from 10am until 12 noon in their Church Halls.
The entry of £2 covers the cost of tea / coffee and cakes and there will be 20 tables of assorted beautiful handmade crafts from cards to glassware, soft goods to wood-crafts.
On Friday 6th October the fundraising group of St Mungo’s Parish Church in Cumbernauld are holding a social evening of fun for all the family in Cumbernauld Village Bowling Club.
Tickets are £6 for adults and £3 for children. Donations for raffle prizes would be appreciated. Contact Maria Taylor, Margaret Campbell or any of the fundraising committee for details.
St Mungo’s Parish Church in Cumbernauld is hosting an afternoon for Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday 30th September from 1pm to 3.30pm.
Entry is only £3.50 per person with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support with a donation also being made to Strathcarron Hospice.
Please come along with your friends for a ‘nibble and a natter’ and support these two very worthwhile causes. Any donations of baking would be greatly appreciated.
Abronhill Church will be holding a Bring & Buy sale in the Church Hall on Saturday 28 October 2017 at 12 noon. Donations can be made between now and 27 October. Donations should be in a new or nearly new condition. Unfortunately no Bric-a-brac or second hand furniture can be accepted. Electrical goods must be new and in their packaging and will be purchased at the buyer’s responsibility. Items will be priced per table at £1, £2, £3, etc. so there will be no confusion about priced goods. Any goods not sold will be donated to a local charity shop unless stated otherwise and goods for return can be picked up by 3pm on the day. The tea room will also be open during the sale with tea/coffee/biscuits & perhaps cake available. Cumbernauld Old Parish Church are pleased to announce that their popular Quiz Night and Buffet Supper is returning on Friday 29th September at 7.30pm in Cumbernauld Bowling Club, Springfield Road, the Village.
Tickets costing £5 per person, which includes a buffet supper, are available now – so get yours before they are all gone!
Abronhill Parish Church have announced plans to start evening worship services in the church each week, starting on Sunday 17th September at 6.30pm. The initial theme will be on God’s mercy and grace as outlined in Romans chapter 1.
As always, all are welcome to come along.
Cumbernauld Old Parish Church will be opening its doors once again as part of North Lanarkshire’s participation in Doors Open Days, which this year will be on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September.
On Saturday 9th the church will be open to visitors from 1-5pm.
On Sunday 10th the church will be open from 2-5pm, as well as for morning worship at 10.15am.
Thanks to all the volunteers who put their name forward to provide a welcome over the Doors Open Days weekend. A warm welcome is assured!
