Strathcarron Compassionate Neighbours

Strathcarron Hospice is appealing for volunteers to take part in their ‘Compassionate Neighbours’ campaign. They are looking for people who are willing to support someone with a long term illness at home.

Each situation is different but it may just be popping in for a cuppa and a chat, offering friendship and a listening ear, or perhaps helping them to continue to do things they enjoy. No specialist skills or knowledge are required, just a willingness to give a little time to help someone who may be feeling isolated or lonely.

More information about Strathcarron’s Compassionate Neighbours scheme, whether you are looking to volunteer or need support yourself, is available from the Hospice at 01324 826222, or contact Susan (susanhigh at nhs.net) or Mandy (mandyross2 at nhs.net)
