Cumbernauld Old Parish Church, in conjunction with Scotland’s Urban Past, will be making a start on a photographic survey of the gravestones in Cumbernauld kirkyard in Baronhill, Cumbernauld Village, on Saturday 28th July.
This will just be a taster session from 10am – 12.30pm and people can come along either to participate or just to find out more.
Equipment and spaces are limited so, if you are interested, please contact Lisa at lisasneds @ gmail.com to give us an idea of numbers. Thanks!
St Mungo’s Parish Church in Cumbernauld is holding ‘An afternoon with Elvis and Frank‘ on Saturday 11th August from 3pm – 6pm. Tickets are available now from members of the social committee, or at the door on the day, and cost £5 which includes a sandwich buffet.
This is your chance to relive all those memories of yesteryear and dance away to songs and music by Sinatra, Crosby, Presley, Como, Glen Miller, Fitzgerald, James et al – we will even take requests!
All are welcome and should you require any further info about this event, please message our Facebook page directly. We hope to see you there!
Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is opening its doors to visitors once again this summer. Volunteers will be available every Sunday from 2pm to 5pm in July, August and September to welcome visitors and show them around our historic church building in the Village. Hope you can pop by and say hello!
We’ll have different opening arrangements during the weekend of Doors Open Days (8 / 9 September) and will post these nearer the time.
Remember, too, that the Church is open for worship every Sunday at 10.15am and everyone is welcome to attend any of our services. Worship during July and August also takes place each Sunday at the Forge Community Centre in Balloch at 11.45am.
