Thank you so much to everyone who has handed in knitted poppies so far for the Remembrance Day 100th Anniversary display in Cumbernauld Village. Each one has been done with such love, care and attention – they are all just beautiful.
There’s still time to hand in more, so keep them coming! We have wool available at the Parish Church in the Village and at the Forge Centre in Balloch for those who need some.
Now for some great news: Some time ago we submitted an application to the National Lottery for funding to take the project one step further and create a permanent feature to enhance the area around the war memorial in the Baronhill. We have just received news that our application has been successful. We’ll let you know more of our plans soon, so watch this space!
Condorrat Parish Church will be hosting an Alpha course, starting on Monday 3rd September from 7pm until about 8.30pm and running for around ten weeks.
Alpha is a course designed for those who want to know more about God, Jesus, the Christian gospel and life.
If you would like more information or want to come along, please leave us a note with your contact details. We’ll pass them on to the organiser and get back to you.
You can also find out more about Alpha courses on their website.
