The first session of a new Bible Study / Discussion Group, called Jesus, the Game Changer, takes place this Thursday 31st October at 3.00pm in the Session House of Cumbernauld Old Parish Church, next to the church.
Thanks to every one who has already signed up, but even if you haven’t you can still come along and join in. The group will run fortnightly on Thursday afternoons, and the second meeting will be on Thursday 14th November.
A second Bible Study, called God Is Closer Than You Think, has been arranged for the Community Room at Tesco, Craigmarloch and starts on Thursday 7th November at 2pm. This group will also meet fortnightly thereafter. It still isn’t too late to sign up!
The Craft Group will be holding a Coffee and Craft afternoon on Monday 28 October from 2pm – 4pm in the kitchen hall. All are welcome. The members of the group have been working very hard at preparing cards and gifts for the stall and all proceeds will go to Church funds. There will be a charge of £2 which will include entrance and tea/coffee/goodies.
Our next ‘Lunch Break’ will be on Monday 4 November in the Church. Soup and light lunches, tea and cakes will be served between 12 noon and 2 pm. All are welcome to come along. Prices available on the day.
Abronhill Parish Church Craft Group are holding a Coffee and Craft Afternoon on Monday 28th October in the church halls from 2.00 – 4.00pm.
Christmas Cards will be on sale as will other Celebration Cards, Christmas Gifts and more. All proceeds for Church funds. All welcome!
The next event on the Fundraising calendar at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is a Craft Fair and Silent Auction taking place this Friday 25th October at 7.30pm in Cumbernauld Bowling Club.
Tickets are now available and cost £2. This includes tea / coffee and a Christmassy biscuit. We would be grateful for donations for the Silent Auction, for example wine, toiletries, perfume, novelty gifts, foodstuff, household items and bric a brac. These can be handed in on the night. Hope to see you there!
Another date for your diaries is the planned St Andrew’s Night fund-raiser on Friday 22nd November, again for Cumbernauld Old Parish Church, and again taking place at Cumbernauld Bowling Club. More information to follow.
The Ladies’ Group at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church resumes for its Autumn session on Tuesday 8th October in the Forge Community Centre, Balloch. In a change from previous years, this session’s meetings will take place on Tuesday afternoons from 1pm – 3pm.
Our syllabus is still being finalised, but a warm welcome is extended to any ladies who wish to join us. We hope the change of day and time will be more convenient for those who would like to come along.
