Planning our future

A meeting will be held in Abronhill Parish Church on Thursday 7th November, i.e. this coming Thursday, at 10.30am to discuss options for the future shape of the Church of Scotland in Cumbernauld in the 2020s and beyond. Everyone, and your ideas, welcome!

The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland agreed in May 2019 to embark on what the Church is calling a Radical Action Plan. This will involve, among many other things, a reorganisation of the departments and councils of the Church and a restructuring and reduction in the number of presbyteries. Local areas, like the churches here in Cumbernauld, have also been invited to explore new ways of working and co-operating.

Some initial discussions have already taken place, but now we want to open up these discussions to church members and others who may bring new ideas and new perspectives to the table. If you are able to attend, you will be made most welcome.
