St Mungo’s Parish Church in Cumbernauld is holding a Daffodil Tea on Saturday April 1st from 11am – 2pm. Tickets are available from fundraising committee members and cost £3 for adults and £1 for children – this includes tea/coffee and cake. You may also pay at the door. Back by popular demand after a very successful evening in October, Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is having another Quiz Night. Please put 17th March in your diary now as tickets will be on sale very soon.
As well as the Quiz with categories to suit everyone, there will be some fun games and a cold buffet. So get your teams organised now to come along and join in the fun. There will be a raffle at the Quiz Night, so all donations for that will also be very much appreciated.
On Friday 27th January, St Mungo’s Parish Church in Cumbernauld is holding a Family and Friends Dinner at the Castlecary House Hotel. This is not a fund raising event, it’s entirely to promote the ethos of the Church Family and to welcome your family and friends to share in an evening with us.

Abronhill Regeneration Forum are holding a Christmas Fayre in the Community Centre on Saturday 10 December between 10am & 4pm. Susan is looking for volunteers to help hand out leaflets about the Church.
Plaza Praise is on Sunday 11 December at 6.30pm. This service will include a dedication of the plaque for Ann & Jim McQuire. Tea & coffee will be served in the Church after the service.
Unfortunately the Christmas Extravaganza has had to be postponed in the meantime.
All shoeboxes should be at the Church before the morning service on Sunday 11 December as Denis will be collecting them then.

On Saturday 10 December we will be hosting a Christmas Extravaganza. The organisers are looking for performers. Anyone wishing to take part should speak to John Manson, David Wharton or Robert McKenzie. More information regarding this will follow shortly.

Loaves & Fishes Shoe Box Appeal – Denis will collect these at our morning service on Sunday 11 December. A list of items considered for gifts will be on the notice board.
Patchwork Blankets for refugees – Volunteers are needed to knit squares to be sewn into blankets. If you are able to help, squares should be 34 stitches on size 6 needles, 7×7 inch squares, garter stitch, double knit work. See Margaret Naismith fir any further information.
On Sunday 13 November our Remembrance Service will start at 10.30 am.
Our Christmas Fayre will be held on Saturday 26 November from 12 noon – 2pm. There will be a variety of stalls and activities plus the tearoom with home baking. Everyone is very welcome. Please do come along.
This year our Guild is celebrating 95 years of worship, prayer and action. They have a full programme ahead and held a celebratory birthday evening on Wednesday, 26 October. Many congratulations Guild!
Thank you to the crafters, all who attended and everyone who helped in any way to make our Craft Fair and Coffee Morning on Saturday 22 October such a success. We raised over £700 for church funds. Likewise the annual Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show held at The Westerwood Hotel on Saturday 15 October was a most enjoyable and successful event raising £3,700. Thank you to all. Our next social event is the Christmas Fayre which will be held on Saturday 26 November. More details in a future posting.
