ABRONHILL PARISH CHURCH

The Craft Group will be holding a Coffee and Craft afternoon on Monday 28 October from 2pm – 4pm in the kitchen hall. All are welcome. The members of the group have been working very hard at preparing cards and gifts for the stall and all proceeds will go to Church funds. There will be a charge of £2 which will include entrance and tea/coffee/goodies.

Our next ‘Lunch Break’ will be on Monday 4 November in the Church. Soup and light lunches, tea and cakes will be served between 12 noon and 2 pm. All are welcome to come along. Prices available on the day.

Coffee and Crafts at Abronhill

Christmas Cards will be on sale as will other Celebration Cards, Christmas Gifts and more. All proceeds for Church funds. All welcome!

Friday 19th – Good Friday worship led by the Minister at 7pm

World Day of Prayer 2019

clipart_World_Day_of_PrayerThis year’s World Day of Prayer will be on Friday 1st March and here in Cumbernauld our local service will be held in Abronhill Parish Church on Friday 1st March at 7pm.

This year’s worship service has been written by the women of Slovenia and the theme is: “Come – everything is ready”.

All Churches in the area are invited to join us, indeed everyone will be made most welcome. Tea & coffee will be served after the service. We look forward to worshiping with you as we join with Christians in over 170 countries worldwide in this annual celebration.

Coming Together at Kildrum

On Sunday 25th November, the five Church of Scotland congregations in Cumbernauld will be coming together for a joint worship service to be held in Kildrum Parish Church at 10.30am.

This joint service will replace the services held in the other four churches for one week only, and we hope there will be an excellent turnout. Everyone will be made most welcome!

Young People’s Activities at Abronhill

The various activities and organisations for children and young people will soon be starting back at Abronhill Parish Church.

Sunday School starts back Sunday 26th August from 11am. The children go into church for the first 15 / 20 minutes and then have their own teaching – crafts, Bible stories, games, etc thereafter until 12.15pm.

The Nippers Club starts back Tuesday 28th August at 9.15am. Mothers and Toddlers and Playgroup will be on every Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

The Anchor Boys and Boys’ Brigade will now be on the same evening – Tuesday, starting 4th September. Anchor Boys from 6-7pm, with the Boys’ Brigade Junior Section (P4-S1), Company Section (S2 up) at 6.45pm.
