This special Christmas-themed service, which starts at 2.00pm on Sunday, is designed specifically for babies and toddlers and we hope they will bring along their parents and grandparents, siblings and other relatives. It promises to be a real family occasion!

There will be songs and stories as well as tea / coffee and biscuits. Join in the Christmas fun as we follow the path of stars to find the Baby Jesus. Don’t miss it!

Cumbernauld Festival of Light

Time for another plug for the annual Festival of Light, organised by Cumbernauld Churches Together, which will be held on Sunday 8th December at 7.30pm in St Mungo’s Parish Church in Cumbernauld.

This beautiful candle-lit ecumenical service of nine hymns and four readings will feature Croy Silver Band as well as local choirs and favourite Christmas carols. Donations for Christian Aid and the Third World Group of Sacred Heart Church would be appreciated, although not necessary.

Please come along and join in our celebration of the Christmas story!

Condorrat Christmas Fayre

Everyone is invited to Condorrat Parish Church’s Christmas Fayre this Saturday, 23rd November. The fun takes place in the Church Halls from 12 noon and entry is only £1 (50p for children).

There will be all the usual stalls – crafts, gifts, books, groceries, soft goods and home-baking, plus a cafe where you can have tea or coffee, and even soup and a roll. We are even expecting a visit from Santa Claus!

Bring the family for a grand day out.

Christmas Gift Appeal

Cumbernauld Old Parish Church has launched its Christmas Appeal ahead of our annual Gift Service which will be held in church on Sunday 15th December.

Everyone who is able to is invited to share the joy and hope of Christmas by donating festive food items and gifts (preferably unwrapped) to be distributed through our local food banks. Donations of toiletries (especially for men) and toys would be most welcome.

Cash donations are also appreciated, as they can be used to buy and distribute fresh items on the day. These can be placed in the jar / tin in the vestibule / Session House at Cumbernauld Old. (Please note that no money is stored on the premises overnight.)

Donations of non-perishable festive food and treats are of course also welcome and these can be placed in the box in the vestibule any Sunday between now and 15th December.

The Christmas event at Cornerstone is on 19th December. Craighalbert Church will serve a hot Christmas meal, and food parcels and gifts will be distributed. At the Cumbernauld Village food bank we will have our own Christmas event on 13th December with treats and tea, and share fellowship and hope.

Grateful thanks to everyone for their continuing support.
