On Friday 19th April (Good Friday) Cumbernauld Churches Together will be taking part in a ‘Walk of Witness’ around various locations in the Town Centre.
Meeting outside the former Dunnes store at 10:15am for a 10:30 start, we will remember the events, and retell the story, of the crucifixion of Jesus on the first Good Friday. Our walk will end about an hour later at Cumbernauld United Reformed Church.
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2019 runs from 18th until 25th January and Cumbernauld Action of Churches Together invite you to two worship services to mark this week in the church calendar.
Please join us on Tuesday 22nd January at 12 noon in Church of the Holy Name for a short worship service followed by a soup and sandwich lunch, and on Thursday 24th January at 7.00pm also at the Church of the Holy Name for a short worship service followed by tea / coffee.
All welcome at either or both services.
Cumbernauld’s annual Festival of Light worship service will take place on Sunday 9th December at 7.30pm in Sacred Heart Church, Kildrum.
This ecumenical service has been organised by a committee gathered from a number of local churches and we hope as many people as possible will come along and support the event.
Croy Silver Band will again be leading the congregational singing and we will be joined by the choir from one of the local primary schools as well as the Columban Singers from Kilsyth.
No tickets are required, but donations taken at the end of the service will be shared between the Third World Group from Sacred Heart Church and Christian Aid.
Cumbernauld Churches Together are holding a series of Meditations for Lent on Thursdays 15th February, 1st March and 15th March.
These will be based on the “Inviting God In” material, produced by Joyce Rupp, and will take place in the Church House of Condorrat Parish Church at 7.00 for 7.30pm. All welcome!
Thursday 18th January marks the start of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2018, which will run until Thursday 25th January.
Cumbernauld Action of Churches Together invite people to join them this Friday (19th) and then next Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th at 12 noon at Church of the Holy Name, Seafar for a short prayer service followed by a soup and roll lunch.

Cumbernauld Action of Churches Together are hosting a series of Advent Meditations on Wednesdays 6th, 13th and 20th December.
They will be held in the Lady Chapel of the Church of the Holy Name, Seafar and will start at 7pm with the opportunity for tea / coffee and chat beforehand.
Cumbernauld’s annual Festival of Light carol service will be held on Sunday 10th December 2017 at 7.30pm in St Mungo’s Parish Church in the Town Centre.
Everyone is cordially invited to this ecumenical service of readings and carols. The Croy Silver Band will once more lead the congregational singing, an incredibly talented Gaelic duet will sing, and the choir from Ravenswood Primary School will also contribute to what promises to be another memorable evening.
We invite you to take some time out from all the hustle and bustle in the lead-up to Christmas and join us on the evening of Sunday 10th December. Entry is free and you don’t need a ticket, but donations for Christian Aid and the One World Group will be gratefully received at the end of the service.
