Condorrat Parish Church

Our Craft Fair and Coffee Morning held yesterday was a great success raising £600 towards the Sanctuary Refurbishment Project.  A big ‘thank you’ to the organisers, stall holders, those ‘manning’ the refreshments and, of course, all who attended.

A Re-Dedication Service for the Sanctuary and Organ will be held on 15 May at 7 pm.  Tea and coffee will be served afterwards in the hall.

Future events:

Spring Fayre – Saturday 17 May 12 noon – 2 pm
Condorrat Gala Day – Saturday 21 June (time tba) – Condorrat Church doing the refreshments
Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show at the Westerwood Hotel – 4 October 12 noon

More details of these events in future postings.

Sports Quiz

While thinking about the upcoming Commonwealth Games, Susan, our Family Development Worker, had a look at the ‘More than Gold’ website, which gave a link to ‘Christians in Sport’ who organise a DVD sports quiz package. This gives everything a congregation needs to organise a family sports fun quiz complete with posters and a DVD of questions/clips.

As part of our outreach, Abronhill Church will be holding a Family Fun Sports Quiz on Thursday 10 April at 7pm . This will be open to the whole community and anyone who wishes may enter a team. More information can be obtained from Susan or anyone from the Church. Hopefully there will be some goodies available also.

Condorrat Anniversary Service and Lunch

On the 14th April The Rev Grace Saunders will have been Minister of Condorrat Parish Church for one year.  She writes ‘I am constantly thankful and give praise to God for bringing me here.‘  As our Session Clerk stated in this month’s Parish News, Grace is already getting to be well known and well thought of in the Condorrat community and, indeed, Cumbernauld itself. We all wish her God’s blessing in her continuing work.

Grace is planning to celebrate the anniversary with a Soup and Sandwich lunch after morning Service this Sunday 15th April.  She intends to chat with as many people as she can and hopes it will be a great time of fellowship.
