Remember, Remember, the 8th of November!
OK, the above rhyme isn’t quite right, but today seems as good a time as any to remind you that our next Cumbernauld Points North Messy Church is this coming Sunday afternoon.
We’ll be looking at the final part of the Bible story of Joseph and how he has a happy reunion with his brothers. There will be activities and crafts, songs and stories and we’ll finish by sharing a meal together, The fun starts at 3pm in the hall at Condorrat Parish Church, 62 Main Road, Condorrat, G67 4DZ
Woohoo!! I hope everyone has had a great time over the summer holidays and that you are now looking forward to coming back to Messy Church. I know we are!
Our next Points North Messy Church will be on Sunday 13th September from 3.00-5.00pm, but please note we’ve moved: our new location will be the Condorrat Parish Church hall. There is parking available and if anyone needs transport feel free to leave a message and we can organise for you to be collected… we don’t want anyone to miss out!
As usual we will have all our crafts, activities, time for celebration, games and a sharing of food together (made by our very talented chef Lorna)
Everyone is welcome to join us and if you can lend a hand even better… the more the merrier.

He was a big powerful soldier, but he had a problem. Lots of people had no success when they tried to help him, but there was one little girl who might just have the answer.
But did the soldier have the courage to ask her?
And just what was the little girl’s secret?

The next Cumbernauld Points North Messy Church will be on Sunday 8th February, i.e. this coming Sunday, when we’ll be looking at the theme of ‘friendship’.
There will be lots of crafts and activities linked to that theme, and we’ll hear about the Bible story of a group of people who wanted to help their sick friend so much that they climbed up onto the roof of a house and lowered him down to the room where Jesus was so he could heal him! After a time for games we’ll sit down to share a meal together. The fun starts at the Forge Community Centre, Balloch, G68 9ND at 3pm and we’ll finish around 5pm. All welcome!
The Cumbernauld Points North Messy Church team will be hosting a Messy Christmas event next Sunday (14th December) in the Forge Community Centre, Balloch.
The fun starts at 3pm where we will be making Christmas crafts, singing a few Christmas carols, hearing the Christmas story, enjoying some games and finishing up with a Christmas party meal.
Whether you’ve been to Messy Church before, or want to find out what Messy Church is all about, we’d be delighted to see you.
All together now: “We wish you a Messy Christmas…”
Messy Church is back on Sunday 11 May – the fun starts at 3pm in the Forge Centre in Ben Lawers Drive, Balloch, G68 9ND.
Messy Church is a couple of hours of crafts, activities, songs and stories and is suitable for all the family.
The theme for this month is all about ‘homes’ and ‘places to live’, which is the theme for this year’s Christian Aid Week, as Sunday also marks the start of that. We might also be telling the story of the Three Little Piggies!
Everyone welcome: hope you can join us.
The first Points North Messy Church of 2014 takes place next Sunday 12th January in the Forge Community Centre, Balloch.
We have a new start-time of 3pm and will aim to finish around 5pm.
We’re starting off the year by looking at some people and stories from the Bible – January’s theme will be ‘Noah’ so expect some animal-themed crafts and songs, and perhaps even a wee surprise with our food near the end of the afternoon.
So please come along next Sunday – you don’t have to come in two-by-two! – and remember our earlier start-time of 3pm. Hope to see you there!
