Cumbernauld Old Parish Church will be participating in North Lanarkshire’s Doors Open Days event this weekend. The Parish Church will be open between the hours of 1pm and 5pm on both Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September.

Cumbernauld Old Parish Church will be opening its doors once again as part of North Lanarkshire’s participation in Doors Open Days, which this year will be on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September.
On Saturday 9th the church will be open to visitors from 1-5pm.
On Sunday 10th the church will be open from 2-5pm, as well as for morning worship at 10.15am.
Thanks to all the volunteers who put their name forward to provide a welcome over the Doors Open Days weekend. A warm welcome is assured!
St Mungo’s Parish Church is delighted to be playing a small part in the upcoming Re-Imagi-Nation Festival taking place in Cumbernauld during 19-21 May. The festival is being run by the Edinburgh International Book Festival in conjunction with NL Leisure and Culture.
St Mungo’s Church is hosting an exhibition on the Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm about New Town Life and Housing. A smaller photographic exhibition will be run by the Church itself at the same time showing the history of the Church’s construction. The Sanctuary shall also be open for those visiting the exhibition to view.
The Utopia to Carbuncle: Town Centre Walking Tour which starts at Sacred Heart RC Church at 11.30am on 20 & 21 May concludes at St Mungo’s Parish Church around 12.30pm where some refreshments shall be available. Two of our churches are taking part in this year’s annual Lanarkshire Doors Open Days event, which runs over the weekend of Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September.
Doors Open Days takes place in different locations in Scotland throughout the month of September each year and allows people access to buildings which are not usually open to members of the public.

Cumbernauld Old Parish Church will be open from 10.30am – 5.00pm on Saturday 12th September and again from 11.30am – 5.00pm on Sunday 13th September (plus Sunday worship at 10.15am, of course!); and
Kildrum Parish Church will be open from 10.30am – 1.00pm on Saturday 12th September, with public worship at 10.30am on Sunday 13th September.

Cumbernauld Old will be open on Saturday 13th September from noon until 4.00pm and again on Sunday 14th September from noon until 4.00pm. Also, our regular worship service at 10.15am in the Parish Church is open to all.
Kildrum Parish Church will be open on Saturday 13th September from 10.30am until 2.00pm and we will have people on hand to welcome you and show you around. On Sunday 14th September we offer a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to worship with us – services start at 10.30am.
In addition, please note that our sister church of Sacred Heart will be also be taking part in Doors Open Days and will be open to visitors on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th from 10.30am until 5.00pm both days, with Sunday worship at 9am, 10.30am and 5.30pm.
Kildrum Parish Church is one of 26 properties in North Lanarkshire participating in Doors Open Days 2012. This year’s event will be held over the weekend of 8/9 September and the church will be open to the public from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 8th September as well as for Sunday worship at 10.30am on 9th September.
Our sister congregation of Sacred Heart RC Church will be open from 10.30 – 5pm on Sunday 9th September with services at 9am, 10.30am and 5.30pm.
