Tickets are £5 and include a buffet supper. All welcome!

Quiz Night at Cumbernauld Old

Back by popular demand after a very successful evening in October, Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is having another Quiz Night. Please put 17th March in your diary now as tickets will be on sale very soon.

As well as the Quiz with categories to suit everyone, there will be some fun games and a cold buffet. So get your teams organised now to come along and join in the fun. There will be a raffle at the Quiz Night, so all donations for that will also be very much appreciated.

Upcoming Social Events at Cumbernauld Old

A Quiz Night in aid of Cumbernauld Old Parish Church funds will be held at Cumbernauld Bowling Club on Friday 30th September at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 and include a hot buffet supper. In addition to the quiz there will be a raffle and some other prizes and activities. Tickets are available now from members of the social committee – see them at church any Sunday morning.

There will also be a Coffee Morning with Garden Goods and Plant Sale on Saturday 8th October. As well as selling plant cuttings (so all you gardeners out there, please bring cuttings from your garden over the summer months for the event) we are also looking for donations of planters, baskets and any other containers which we can sell on the day. Please put 8th October in your diaries and we’ll update the details nearer the time..

Kildrum Church News

The 3rd Cumbernauld Brownies, 3rd Cumbernauld Guides and 1st Cumbernauld Rangers start back at Kildrum Parish Large Hall tonight (Wednesday 22 August). The Brownies meet from 6 – 7.45pm, the Guides and Rangers from 7.45 – 9.30pm.
Also the 16th Cumbernauld Brownies start back tomorrow (Thursday 23 August) also in Kildrum Parish’s Large Hall from 6 – 7.30pm.
And the 5th Cumbernauld Rainbows start back on Saturday 1st September in Kildrum’s Large Hall from 10 – 11.30am.
Rainbows are girls aged 5-7yrs, Brownies 7-10yrs, Guides 10-14yrs, Rangers 14+.

Although both the Guides and 3rd Brownies are rather full at the moment and girls may have to go on a long waiting list. if we can’t accommodate them, we can at least give contact numbers for other groups in the area.

The Drop In Centre in Kildrum Parish reopened on Monday 20th August, opening times are from 9.15 to 11.15am every Monday, all are welcome to drop in.

In Kildrum Parish Church there will be a Family Quiz Night (not part of the Inter-Church quiz as this is a different event) on Saturday 1st September at 7.00pm and will have a Pie and Peas Supper. Tickets are available from Fay McIntyre or Jane Frew in the Hall of Friendship after the church services or leave a note in the ‘comments’ box below if you wish further details.

Inter-Church Quiz

The churches in Falkirk Presbytery are holding an Inter-Church Quiz on Friday 21st September in Laurieston Church Hall (Hornbeam Crescent, Laurieston). Start time is 7pm.
Teams: 1 per church (up to 4 members)
Cost: £3 per head
