The Craft Group will be holding a Coffee and Craft afternoon on Monday 28 October from 2pm – 4pm in the kitchen hall. All are welcome. The members of the group have been working very hard at preparing cards and gifts for the stall and all proceeds will go to Church funds. There will be a charge of £2 which will include entrance and tea/coffee/goodies.

Our next ‘Lunch Break’ will be on Monday 4 November in the Church. Soup and light lunches, tea and cakes will be served between 12 noon and 2 pm. All are welcome to come along. Prices available on the day.

Fashion Show at Cumbernauld Old

The Fund-raising team at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is organising a Fashion Show at Cumbernauld Bowling Club on Friday 27th April at 7.30pm. The outfits are being provided by Bon Marche. Tickets cost £5, this includes a cup of tea (or coffee) and cake and are now available, although running out fast!

St Andrew’s Night social

Tickets are now on sale for Cumbernauld Old Parish Church’s St Andrew’s Night celebrations to be held in Cumbernauld Bowling Club, Cumbernauld Village, on Friday 1st December at 7.30pm.

There will be a great mix of music, singing, dancing, and much more – as they say, something for everyone!

Tickets cost £7 and that includes a traditional fish supper.  Numbers will be limited, so please don’t delay – get your tickets from one of our social committee now!


Abronhill Church Summer Tearoom

Everyone will be made most welcome at Abronhill Parish Church’s new Summer Tearoom. Why not drop in for some tea or coffee along with some tasty home baking and relax and rest over a cuppa.

The tearoom will be open this Wednesday 18 May from 2pm – 4pm and will be open on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday’s of each month until September.

It’s Panto time at Kildrum!

Kildrum Parish Church is having the pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this weekend (29 – 31 January). The cast and crew are made up of the Church’s youth organisations and members of the congregation.
The first performance is 7pm tonight (Friday 29th), with another performance on Saturday, also at 7pm, and the final performance on Sunday afternoon starting at 2pm.

Tickets are available at the door with a suggested donation of £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. Please come along and join in the fun and laughter.

News from Abronhill

The Craft Group are holding another Open Afternoon from 2pm-4pm on 24 March. There will be a tea room and a stall with Easter Cards and gifts and craftwork for sale in aid of charity. The Craft Group meets every Monday afternoon in the Church kitchen hall and anyone who enjoys crafting, whether its knitting, cross stitch, embroidery, paper craft or banner making is welcome to come along. There’s always a cuppa and plenty friendly chat.

Abronhill Church Fundraiser

Our fundraising committee in conjunction with Hazel Paterson & Cumbernauld Rostrum Club are organising a fundraising evening on Saturday 15 March at 7pm. This will be an evening of entertainment with songs, funny speeches etc. Tickets are priced at £6 and includes a fish supper. Tickets are now available from John Manson at the Church.

Condorrat Church Craft Fair

On Saturday 26th October from 10am to 12-ish we are holding a Coffee Morning with home baking and Craft Fair.  Tickets £2 – includes tea/ coffee/ juice and goodies.
Crafts include jewellery, handmade cards, soaps, candles, sweeties and lots of other gifts – with Christmas in mind.  Do come along, everyone very welcome.

Abronhill Church Guild

This Wednesday, 10 April, Abronhill Guild will be hosting a visit from Glasgow Theatre Guild. If you like music from the musicals then come along and have an enjoyable evening. Payment is £3 per person and can be paid at the door. The evening begins at 8pm and tea and biscuits will be provided. Please spread the word and come and join us for a great evening’s entertainment .

Abronhill Church Spring Fayre

Abronhill Church will be holding its annual Spring Fayre this Saturday 23 March in the Church Hall. Stalls will include a Lucky Dip, Bric a Brac, Toiletries, Home Baking and Fancy Goods. There will also be a tearoom so why not come along and enjoy lunch with us?

Please come along and have a great time browsing our stalls. Let’s make it a great day and one to raise funds for the much-needed ongoing work of the Church here in Abronhill. Doors open at 12 noon.

Condorrat news

We are holding a Coffee Morning and Craft Fair on Saturday 16th March from 10am to 12 noon. Tickets are available now at £2 but will also be on sale on the day at the door. The Craft Fair already includes jewellery, cards, handbags and speciality cakes, but tables are still available at a cost of £10 and anyone interested should contact Margaret McCallum on 07799 281 876 / 01236 728086.

The Dinner Dance and Ceilidh held at the Westerwood Hotel on Friday 15th February was a great success and raised an excellent £1,505 towards the Sanctuary Refurbishment Project.

Guild – On 6th March there is an open evening (all are welcome) to a presentation on The Making of The Falkirk Wheel. The Daffodil Tea is on 20th March at 7.30 pm with entertainment from The Garngad Foundry Boys Praise Group.  Tickets are £3 and will be on sale shortly.


Falkirk Old and St. Modan’s Parish Church (the Church opposite Marks and Spencer on the High Street) are hosting a concert for Christian rock band ‘Superhero’ in the Sanctuary on Sunday March 3rd at 7.30pm. A hugely popular group from Glasgow, Superhero are undertaking their ‘Battle For Your Soul’ spring tour in the next few weeks, playing in churches and high schools throughout the UK.  This concert is aimed at everyone from P7 and above – all are welcome!  The café will be open for tea and coffee for any parents/carers who want to wait in the Church but don’t want to attend the concert. Snacks, juice and merchandise will also be available on the night. It is anticipated that the event will finish around 9.45pm.  Parents/carers are asked to make sure that safe travel arrangements are in place for their children.To find out more about Superhero, go to:

Condorrat Church – Sanctuary Refurbishment Project

Condorrat Parish Church is holding a fund raising event – a Dinner Dance at the Westerwood Hotel on Friday 15th February from 7.30 pm till midnight.  This should be a great evening with a 3-course meal and a Ceilidh Band.  Tickets cost £25 and there are still some available from the church so why not join us and bring your friends (tables seat ten people).
