Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is opening its doors to visitors once again this summer. Volunteers will be available every Sunday from 2pm to 5pm in July, August and September to welcome visitors and show them around our historic church building in the Village. Hope you can pop by and say hello!
We’ll have different opening arrangements during the weekend of Doors Open Days (8 / 9 September) and will post these nearer the time.
Remember, too, that the Church is open for worship every Sunday at 10.15am and everyone is welcome to attend any of our services. Worship during July and August also takes place each Sunday at the Forge Community Centre in Balloch at 11.45am.
Unfortunately, due to illness and other unforeseen circumstances, the Bring & Buy Sale scheduled for 28 October 2017 has had to be postponed.
Hopefully this will be able to be rescheduled at a later date. I hope this hasn’t caused any inconvenience.
Abronhill Church will be holding a monthly Tearoom organised by the Hospitality Group. This will take place on the first Monday of each month, beginning in October and is from 12 noon till 2pm. Soup, Sandwiches and Toasties will be available along with Tea, Coffee and Cakes. Come along and meet with friends and enjoy a tasty lunch.
Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is planning to open its doors to visitors every Sunday afternoon, between 2pm and 5pm, during July, August and the early part of September.
A team of members will be available to show people round and to answer any questions they may have. Books charting the history of the church from the 13th Century onwards will also be available for sale.
The church is situated in Baronhill, Cumbernauld Village and a warm welcome awaits.

Should this not be convenient, donations can also be dropped off at the MP’s Constituency Office, 13 The Wynd, Cumbernauld Village during office hours.

One of the conditions of the funding grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund for Project ROCK is that Cumbernauld Old Parish Church must open to the public for a number of hours in addition to our weekly worship services.
To meet this requirement Cumbernauld Old Parish Church will be open on Sunday afternoons in July, August and September from 2pm to 5pm and longer on the weekend of Doors Open Days (12 & 13 September). Information leaflets about the Church building will be available for visitors as well as a warm welcome (whatever the weather!)
