Cumbernauld Musical Theatre Society has kindly volunteered to provide an evening of entertainment as a fundraiser event for Cumbernauld Old Parish Church. We hope this will take place in early November – more details to follow.
In the meantime, in the interest of fostering positive local relationships, the Church Fundraising Group is keen to support this fantastic local theatre group. The Cumbernauld Musical Theatre Society will be performing a range of songs at their show ‘West End at the Westerwood‘ on Saturday 13th (already sold out) and Sunday 14th October at the Westerwood Hotel, Cumbernauld. We have been offered the opportunity of a block booking for the 2.30pm matinee performance on Sunday 14th October at a reduced price of £10 per person.
This will give you a chance to see and hear the Society in action before they come to perform at our fundraiser, when the programme of songs will be different. If you wish to book a place for the Westerwood show on 14th October, please get in touch and we’ll pass on your details to our fundraising team.

- Other news:
- Sunday 16th June was the Sunday School’s Prize-giving. The service was a joyful one with the children entertaining us with action songs and encouraging us all to join in a lively rendition of Alleluia Praise the Lord. All the men were given a chocolate and book mark to celebrate Father’s Day. Thank you Sunday School and teachers.
- The Guild, the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades have all had another busy and interesting year and are now taking a break for the summer.
- Tickets are now available for the Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show at the Westerwood Hotel on Saturday 21st September. All proceeds will go to our Sanctuary Refurbishment Project. The fund is now growing due to the many fund-raising events and some recent substantial grants for which we are extremely grateful.
