Condorrat Church ‘Banner Headlines’

The Banner group has produced a beautiful banner depicting all the groups within our church under the heading of Bind Us Together. This lovely work is now proudly displayed in the church for all to see and appreciate.

    • Sunday 16th June was the Sunday School’s Prize-giving.  The service was a joyful one with the children entertaining us with action songs and encouraging us all to join in a lively rendition of Alleluia Praise the Lord.  All the men were given a chocolate and book mark to celebrate Father’s Day.  Thank you Sunday School and teachers.
    • The Guild, the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades have all had another busy and interesting year and are now taking a break for the summer.
    • Tickets are now available for the Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show at the Westerwood Hotel on Saturday 21st September. All proceeds will go to our Sanctuary Refurbishment Project.  The fund is now growing due to the many fund-raising events and some recent substantial grants for which we are extremely grateful.

Condorrat Church – October events

A Lunch and Fashion Show is to be held at the Westerwood Hotel on Saturday 6th October in aid of our Sanctuary Refurbishment Project.

We are pleased to note an increase in the youth organisations and we look forward to the service on Sunday 7th October which the young people are organising and presenting. The Guild Dedication will also take place on that day.

The Quinquennial Visit by representatives of Falkirk Presbytery will take place on Monday 8th October. They first meet with the Minister, then the Congregational Board and then with the Kirk Session.  Our Session Clerk advises that, in general, the purpose of the visit is to see how we are getting on; what we have done over the past five years; what our plans are for the future and to be sure that we are in ‘good health’.

This month the Guild will be looking at the start of a Three Year Theme which is based on their motto Whose we are and Whom we serve. At their meeting on 10th October they will be concentrating on ‘A faith to proclaim’.

On Sunday 14 October the service is expected to be conducted by the Presbytery Visitation Team.

Harvest Sunday is on 21st October. Donated dried/tinned goods and a retiral offering will go the Glasgow City Mission.
